Three formats, three languages, and one clear goal: making the Social Impact & DEI Report 2022 accessible and transparent for everyone.

Rock.org annually publishes its global diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and social impact initiatives. In 2023, the mission was to present the 2022 results in a clear, accessible, and strategic way for employees, investors, and stakeholders. In addition to maintaining brand credibility, the challenge was to expand the content’s reach and innovate the reading experience.

I was the designer responsible for the entire visual side of the project. I worked in collaboration with the communications and culture analyst, transforming data and stories into three complementary formats:

  • A full PDF report.
  • An interactive microsite for online navigation.
  • A fact sheet with key data for investors, produced for the first time.

This was the 4th edition of the report, which enabled us to review past successes and shortcomings and define improvements. A strategic decision was first to produce it in Portuguese — the language with the highest text volume — and then adapt the layouts into English and Spanish, ensuring consistency and saving time.

The tools chosen reinforced efficiency: InDesign for the report, Figma (mockups) and Ion Interactive for the microsite, and Illustrator for the fact sheet. The microsite was particularly well received, as it is common in the market to deliver only a PDF report.

The biggest challenge was the tight deadline: only 30 days to complete all the design work, across three formats and three languages. With some delays in content delivery, the strategy of starting with Portuguese was essential to meet deadlines without compromising quality.

The result was positive and praised by stakeholders, consolidating my experience in time management, delivering under pressure and quality.
